General Information

Ladies’ Day

The club room will be open every Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.  You are required to check in at least 30 minutes prior to your tee time.


Starting times can be made by signing in at the tournament table one week in advance. If unable to sign-in you may call or email the Weekly Tee-time person for a starting time. Please DO NOT CALL AFTER 7:00 p.m. 

Please be at the course 30 minutes before your start time or you will be assessed a 2 stroke penalty.


Call the Weekly Tee-time person before 7:00 p.m. Tuesday to cancel your tee time. If you do not cancel by that time there is an automatic penalty of $5 payable before your next starting time. Call the Course Starter before 7:30 a.m. if you must cancel the day of play.


Tee times will carry over to the next play day if play is cancelled due to rain.


A member may sign in herself and three other persons before 9:15 a.m. After 9:15 a.m. a member may sign in herself and three others for a maximum of four players, but she must play in that group. The member is responsible for letting those signed in know their starting time. If she fails to do this, she will be assessed the $5.00 non-cancellation fee. PLEASE – DO NOT erase any name on the sign-up sheet without that person’s permission.




Guest Day

A guest may play any regular play day after 9:15 a.m. Guest will pay a $2 fee and the member MUST play in the same group as her guest. A member may invite only one guest and any one guest may play three times per year.


All general meeting days will be a shotgun start, meeting will be directly after play.


Monthly Board meetings will be held after play. Any change will be posted.


Each group must turn in one master card with two signatures and each player must turn in an individual card WITH HER NAME ON THE CARD AND ONE OTHER. All individual cards must match the master card with chip-ins recorded on both the master and the individual card. Members must enter their scores in the daily and ringer books. Incomplete scorecards will result in disqualification.



You must sign on the “putt sheet” prior to play. Putts must be recorded on both the master and the individual card. If your ball rolls off the green after the fi rst putt, each subsequent stroke is counted as a putt. PARTICIPATION IS OPTIONAL. 



Several major and special tournaments are scheduled each year and each tournament will have an entry fee. The only tournaments that have eligibility requirement are the Club Championship and the Flag Tournament. To be eligible for the Club Championship you must have been a member for one year and have participated in at least 12 games with the Lakewood Women’s Golf Club in the year preceding the tournament.
